Samuel Hung is a Taiwanese American engineer & photographer based in the Bay Area, California.

He works in the observational tradition, making photographs that find latent tension and transience in everyday built environments. Influenced by New Topographics and street photography, his work is attentive to the way the physical world holds human presence even in moments of absence.
