For this project, I wanted to convey a feeling or state of mind synonymous with imposter syndrome. The intention was to dive into the feeling as most would understand it but in the second half surface on a more positive and triumphant note.

2021 Q3 - checking in

Been working on larger projects instead of individual photos and it’s been so satisfying - especially in comparison to creating & posting standalone photos for social media. (Will probably do another entry about social media, or Instagram in particular - from a photographer’s perspective.)

From capturing one location at a time to exploring particular ideas through frames, I’m really feeling the momentum behind this kind of workflow & direction.

I’ve added and will be adding some more photos from a recent trip down to Southern California with some good friends of mine. Made some of my current favorite photos on that trip.

ALVISO

Finished my first photo project~

Photos were captured in the Alviso neighborhood of San Jose, CA on digital & 35mm film.

Honestly just wanted to get my hands dirty and see what it's like focusing on capturing the vibe of the place through a larger body of work instead of trying to make standalone photos. Overall, found this process refreshing and I'm definitely going to try something like this again soon.
